Dear friends,
You might be scared by the non-English default language (which is German) in this forum.
You can easily change the language to English. All you have to do is sign up and change the language settings in your profile.
The single steps are:
- Go to "Registrieren" on the top menu, choose:
- first field: user name
- second field: e-mail address (you should check the box after password, meaning your e-mail address will be hidden)
- third and fourth field: password (please enter twice to check for typos)
- fifth field (under the graphic letters): please enter the letters you see directly above (to avoid spam registrations)
- Check the following two boxes to
a) confirm you're at least 16 years old and
b) confirm you understood our rules
The rules are (roughly translated, the valid version is always the German version):
"This private forum serves to inform about non-commercial heraldry.
Dirty, insulting, evil, illegal, ... comments ect. will be deleted by administrator or moderators as soon as they are aware of their existence. Who doesn't behave, can be excluded. There is no right whatsoever to be allowed entrance to this forum.
This forum is, like the whole homepage, of private nature and serves the purpose of exchange among people interested in the topics covered. Advertisement is forbidden and will be deleted without warning.
Clear so far?" - Press the bottom button "Registrieren"
- After that, you will receive an email containing a verification link. Please follow that link and enter your username and password you chose before.
- That's it, thanks for joining!
- After joining, and logging in, you can change your board language this way:
- Go to "Profil" in the top menu, choose "Benutzerkonto" on the left menu (sub menu of "Profil-Einstellungen").
- Here you can see the point "Verwendete Sprachdatei:" and a selection box with "German" selected. Choose English here, and please don't ask me if there is a difference in the two English versions installed. I have no clue. But I digress.
- On the very bottom, enter your current password in the last field "Aktuelles Passwort" and press the button "Profil ändern" on the bottom right.
- That's it (I hope)!
